Imagine it's the year 2050. What does the world look like? How have technology, society, and the environment changed?

 Prompt Response: In 2050 I think that the world will be more hybridized with nature. We will have introduced more nature into our cities in order to combat global warming and to promote a cleaner lifestyle and world. I feel like there will be a majority of EV vehicles over gas, I also think that people will have tried to reconnect with life and community so technology will be more advanced, but used less. 

Summary: Today in class we worked on our “A Lesson Before Dying” project. 

Reflection: I am enjoying this project because we don’t have to rely on others to do their part on the project. We can work independently.

Prompt Response:   A book that I have read that made me feel something deeply was Ready Player One. I read this a while ago in 8th grade, and when I read it I felt very sad and depressed for the main character. He had lost his home and family and was forced to move away to pursue his dreams, but the main antagonist came and destroyed his home again and forced him to flee. His situation made me feel really bad for him and everything he went through.  Summary: Today in class we read an article in Commonlit and answered questions about the text.  Reflection:  I enjoyed reading the story because I thought it was very interesting, and the questions helped expand my understanding of the text.

  Prompt Response:  Of the 5 senses, the one that I value the most is sight. Sight is the most important to me because it is the only one that you can't do anything about. For example, for hearing, you can learn sign language. You don't really need taste either. For smell, touch, and hearing, there are ways to live your life without them. However, if you don't have sight, you can not do anything about it. You need sight to truly experience life and the world. That is why sight is the most important to me. Summary: Today in class, we worked on a Commonlit assignment about the different types of friendship.  Reflection:  I enjoyed the lesson today because I was able to work independently and quickly.

Prompt Response:  If my Nintendo Switch could tell a story about me, it would probably talk about all the time I spent playing video games and bonding with family and friends:  "Jonah would spend hours on weekends playing Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart with my family and friends. He loved the time he spent together making memories and growing friendships."  Summary: Today in class, we read a poem called "So Much Depends On..." and began a project about how the little things in our lives play big roles.  Reflection:  I thought the lesson today helped me recognize and feel more grateful for the objects I might take for granted.
