Imagine it's the year 2050. What does the world look like? How have technology, society, and the environment changed?

Prompt Response: In 2050 I think that the world will be more hybridized with nature. We will have introduced more nature into our cities in order to combat global warming and to promote a cleaner lifestyle and world. I feel like there will be a majority of EV vehicles over gas, I also think that people will have tried to reconnect with life and community so technology will be more advanced, but used less.  Summary: Today in class we worked on our “A Lesson Before Dying” project.  Reflection: I am enjoying this project because we don’t have to rely on others to do their part on the project. We can work independently.

Imagine writing a letter to yourself 10 years from now. What advice, hopes, or reminders would you include?

Prompt Response:   I would tell myself to not procrastinate and to make sure to work hard for things I think are important. I would tell myself that I hope I become more outgoing. I would remind myself to keep working out and to have some personal hobbies that enjoy doing.   Summary: Today we continued working on our project for "A Lesson Before Dying.  Reflection: I am enjoying this project because it is interesting and fun to come up with items we would find in a character's trash. However, the project is tedious.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

Prompt Response:  I approach creativity by just letting ideas flow. When working on a creative project, I sort of start with a general idea of what I want to do, and then I tweak it and change things up while I'm working on it. A project that I am proud of is a portrait of my brother that I drew in art class. I worked for several weeks on it trying to get it as accurate as possible to the reference photo. I thought that it ended up being very close to the original and I am very proud of it.  Summary: Today we started planning for a project on "A Lesson Before Dying." I chose the project where we chose 10 objects that we might find in a character's trash, and then we had to explain the reasoning behind it. Reflection: I think that this project will be a little tedious, but also interesting and fun.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

Prompt Response:  One time after playing baseball for several years, I felt burnt out and found that I didn't really enjoy the sport anymore. So I decided to not play one season and to take a break. I focused on school more, working out, and other hobbies that I had.  Summary: Today we wrote down the Lesson 9 vocabulary words, then we worked on a worksheet where we matched the words to the correct sentence. Reflection:  I enjoyed the lesson today because I was able to work independently, and I was able to finish the worksheet very quickly. I also enjoyed learning the meanings of the words.

Write about something that you heard that you wish you could unhear.

Prompt Response:  Something that I wish to unhear is that I have over 1000 hours on a video game called Fortnite. It made me realize how much time I have wasted playing video games. If I had spent that much time on anything else I could have developed important real-life skills or become really good at anything.  Summary: Today in class we completed a semester reflection and then worked on missing assignments. Reflection:  The reflection was helpful because it got me back on track.

Write about a moment when you felt you had the power to make a difference in someone else's life.

Prompt Response: After hurricanes happen, my church will form groups and we will go down South to help clean up some of the damage. We help clear fallen trees, muck out houses, and clear other damage. The people you are helping would have had to wait for a really long time to get help from the government or other companies, so what we are doing helps them a ton. This helped me see how you always have the power to make a difference in people's lives, whether it's through little things or big things.  Virtual Day

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt Response: A place where I feel most at peace is Lake Tahoe in California. I go there almost every year for a family reunion and it has become a sort of symbol of peace and relaxation because you have no responsibilities while you're there. You can chill in the lakehouse, swim in the lake, go fishing, or go hiking whenever you feel like it.  Virtual Day

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Prompt Response: One time when I was at a summer camp one of the camp counselors gave a "goodbye" speech on the last day and he talked about how we should live a life that we will be proud of on our deathbed. This has impacted me because it has made me want to live a life I am proud of.  Virtual Day

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response: A time that I had to rely on someone else was in an important baseball game. The score was tied and I wouldn't get up to bat for the rest of the game. So I had to rely on my teammates to make good plays and hit good as well.  ABSENT

Prompt: Write about an object that holds sentimental value and why it’s important to you.

Prompt Response: An object that holds sentimental value for me is an Iron Man helmet I made when I was younger. I made it to build my own Iron Man costume for Halloween. I remember having a lot of fun making it with my friend, so it holds sentimental value.  Abesnt

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

Prompt Response: One time I went to a summer camp for a week where I only knew one person. I'm kind of a naturally shy person so I had a hard time talking to people. But I was able to become good friends with them by the end of the week because I stepped out of my comfort zone and talked to them. ABSENT

If you were President of the United States of America, what are 5 things that you would do and why?

Prompt Response: If I was president of the United States of America, I would do the following 5 things:  1) I would try fixing international relationships to have more allies.  2) I would try to find a way to decrease inflation to make things less expensive.  3) I would try to reach out to the people to figure out what they want to be done in order to establish peace between he people and the government.  4) I would try to improve education so America has a better-educated population.  5) I would try to enforce drug laws more strictly because they ruin people's lives.  ABSENT

Write about a dream that felt real.

Prompt Response: One time I dreamt that I got abducted by aliens. It was the stereotypical scene where I was on a farm late at night, and then I got sucked up by the UFO. I don't know how to explain it, but it felt real for some reason. That was one dream I had that felt real.  ABSENT

Summarize your holiday break. In addition, write about 5 personal goals that you want to achieve in 2025. Explain why you chose those goals.

Prompt Response: I played video games and often hung out with friends this break. I celebrated Christmas with my family and had a lot of fun. I also got a surgery done that I have been needing. I am still recovering from that. Five goals that I want to achieve in 2025 are: 1) Going to the gym more frequently. 2) Improving my sleep schedule.  3) Making more money.  4) Getting all A's in school.  5) Doing lots of fun and interesting activities.  I chose these goals because they will help me grow and improve as a person and help me better myself.  ABSENT
