Write about a fear you overcame.

Prompt: I overcame a fear when I did my first backflip into a lake. Almost every year, my family goes to Lake Tahoe in California where we swim, boat, and hang out with cousins and other family at the lake house. There is a pier where we jump off into the lake and swim around and I had always wanted to do a backflip off of it, but I was always too scared. One day, I decided to just do it, I stood on the edge and threw myself backward. I ended up landing on my head, but at least I knew how to fall backward now. I got back up and did it again, except that time I actually did a backflip. I was so excited because I had conquered my fears.

Summary: Today in class we started working on a presentation for "A Lesson Before Dying" chapters 1-5. My topic is about Miss Emma's relationship with Jefferson. We are working on it in a software called Adobe Express.

Reflection: The software is kind of tricky to use, but it does make the presentation look better. I am enjoying this project and book so far.
