November 4

Today we read a story called "Ambush" about a young man in a war. After that, we worked on some discussion questions. The story is about a moment during the author's time in war. It talks about an event where he had to ambush an enemy soldier with a grenade. I learned about the trauma of war and how it can have lasting effects on your mental health. I also thought more deeply about the story while answering the discussion questions. This was an enjoyable lesson and it helped me learn to analyze text more deeply. My day today has been good so far. I did a mock voting thing in APUSH and I'm excited to see the results. I am also excited to have a virtual day tomorrow because I'll get to sleep in.
