Today we read a story called “The Jealous Father.” I thought it was very interesting and didn’t really expect the magic that was involved in it because I didn’t think that Native Americans believed in magic or spell and stuff similar to that. After we finished reading the story we began a group project bested on the story. My group’s topic was about the resolution of the conflict. I enjoyed working on this project and drawing a storyboard for the PowerPoint. I learned that the Native Americans told stories involving magic and spells, which I was unaware of. I now know that they had much broader beliefs that were different from the stereotypes that I knew. I enjoyed this lesson because the story was interesting and I liked working as a group with others. My day has been pretty good so far. I had pancakes for breakfast which are some of my favorite food. I have baseball practice tonight as well as lots of homework to do.
